Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) takes a major leap of faith in EastEnders next week, as she sets her sights on a new challenge, investing her newfound funds in the salon!

The Queen Vic landlady, as viewers will recall, came into possession of thousands of pounds earlier this month, after Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) offered her money in exchange for her leaving the Square.

Linda subsequently weighed up her options, before accepting the schemer’s cash, but upon realising that her place is firmly with her family, she put her foot down, refusing to let Janine bully her into walking away.

Go, Linda!

The matriarch, however, continues to struggle with her addiction next week, and she’s tempted to buy a bottle of wine.

Rainie Highway (Tanya Franks) offers her some advice, which prompts her to reconsider, and thus she turns her attention to planning the Square’s jubilee celebrations – much to Janine’s dismay!

Mick (Danny Dyer), meanwhile, is absolutely thrilled to see Linda in her element, as she hosts a planning meeting, revealing that she’s got a surprise in store for the big day.

Linda is feeling good about the future once more, and she’s keen to use her new cash to expand The Vic’s business. Mick, however, deflates her optimism, as he implies that she cannot be trusted.

Denise Fox (Diane Parish), meanwhile, breaks the news that she’s going to sell the salon to Nathan, who previously showed an interest.

Linda overhears the conversation, as Kim (Tameka Empson) and Denise discuss needing an investor.

Without wasting a moment, she approaches them, telling them that she’d like to invest. Denise is floored, but after giving it some thought, she agrees to Linda’s proposition – but she’s taken aback when the landlady offers her £50,000 by the end of the day!

Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) isn’t sure what to make of Linda’s investment, but after discussing it further with her, he’s left with zero doubts about her seriousness.

Linda subsequently signs the contract, becoming the co-owner of the salon!

She wastes little time in sharing the news with her nearest and dearest toasting to the future. Her happiness, however, is short-lived.

Nancy (Maddy Hill) subsequently receives a call and discovers that the estate agent never received the money for her and Zack Hudson’s (James Farrar) restaurant space!

Linda is devastated, having worked out that Janine is to blame, and thus she wastes little time in confronting the schemer, vowing to tell Nancy the truth.

Desperate to make things right, Linda pleads with Denise to get her money back. Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) overhears, forcing Linda to admit what’s happened.

Linda does just that, leaving Sharon floored.

After giving it some thought, Sharon encourages Linda to tell her daughter the truth, before ultimately setting her sights on Janine – determined to get her own back.

The question is: will Linda be able to convince Nancy and her family that she had no idea what Janine was up to?

What’s more, will Janine finally get her comeuppance?
