The smash-hit drama has been hitting viewers in their feels ever since it landed on screens in 2016, but now fans will have to prepare to say goodbye for good.
In the latest instalment, Rebecca’s (Mandy Moore) loved ones said their final goodbyes to the matriarch following her heartbreaking battle with Alzheimer’s.
Her three children were able to spend poignant last moments with her before she tragically died, reuniting with husband Jack (Milo Ventimiglia).
Reflecting on the emotional scenes, she said: ‘To be honest, a lot of what is in the finale for Milo and I was filmed years ago.’
Adding to Deadline, she said: ‘So, I don’t even remember what it was. We had a couple of things we shot for this that I’m excited to see.’

The beloved drama, starring the Tangled star, Sterling K Brown and Justin Hartley, has featured narratives across generations of the Pearsons, going back and forth between years, as Jack and Rebecca adopted their third triplet, the teenage children suffered from the loss of their dad, and, as adults, they navigate their own way through the world and their relationships with each other.
In the penultimate episode, Rebecca’s exit left fans sobbing, with one person writing: ‘I cried so hard watching #ThisIsUs that my head hurts. I’m just going to continue to cry myself to sleep.
‘Check on your friends who watch This Is Us. We’re not okay.’
‘This episode is giving me chills and bringing me to tears like no other episode ever has,’ a follower agreed.

Actress Mandy recently opened up about the emotional ending to the series, and confessed that she actually ‘threw up’ after reading that script.
Appearing on an episode of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this month, she recalled her instant reaction to the plot.
‘I will tell you that the penultimate episode, I threw up after I read it,’ she told the host.
