Maisie Smith is heading into the world of theatre for her next role following her exit from EastEnders.

The actress, known for playing Tiffany Butcher in the BBC One soap, will make her musical theatre debut as she joins Strictly Come Dancing’s Kevin Clifton for the upcoming UK tour of Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom the Musical.

Back in 2019, Maisie and Kevin won the Strictly special for Children in Need, with Maisie returning in 2020 to compete in the main show, partnered with Gorka Marquez.

Set in Australia, the musical includes songs such as Love is in the Air and Time After Time.

Strictly judge, director and co-choreographer of the show, Craig Revel Horwood told What’s On Stage: ‘I’m delighted that the super talented Maisie Smith is joining Kevin Clifton on the Strictly Ballroom UK tour.

‘I can’t wait to see them dance together again. Expect some sexy moves, sizzling costumes and a simply sensational evening! I know that they’ll both be FAB-U-LOUS!’
