WWE legend Michelle McCool has recalled being questioned by police over The Undertaker’s murder after an awful prank call.

The former Women’s Champion – who married the Hall of Famer in 2010 – has recalled the awful moment she was followed by ‘three cops’ who received a call claiming she had killed the Phenom ‘with a sledgehammer.

‘I had three cops follow me in the neighborhood once because a 911 call said that I killed my husband with a sledgehammer,’ she told the Wives of Wrestling podcast.

‘Ironically, it was the WrestleMania after he wrestled Triple H. I’m one of those people where, if I’m telling the truth, I feel guilty. I feel like I’m lying if I’m in a pressure situation.’

She remembered going into their gated community and being met by three officers who wanted to check if Undertaker was at home.

‘They’re like, “Ma’am, is your husband home?” “Yeah, can you tell me what’s going on?” “No, we just need to make sure your husband is home”‘, she recounted, as transcribed by Fightful.

‘”What is going on?” We’re walking to the garage, I’m thinking the worst. I go into the garage, into the kitchen, he’s coming out of the shower, the further place in the house.’

They made their way through the house as Michelle called out for her husband, only to find him wearing only a towel, confused to see his wife with three police officers.

She added: ‘I’m yelling, “Babe, babe, babe!” We finally get to the back of the house, he walks out in his towel, there are three cops behind me and he’s like, “What is going on?”

‘They finally told me. Someone called 911 saying I had killed him with a sledgehammer. They let us listen to the call.’

The so-called Dead Man – who is very much alive and well – was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in April in his home state of Texas.

After a career spanning speech – which was delayed by a near-10 minute ovation from a packed crowd – Undertaker looked set to leave before donning his classic hat and coat.

With a look to the camera, he simply said, ‘Never say never,’ teasing the possibility of one more match.
