Dig out your tickets lottery players, because you could be the UK’s newest millionaire.
One lucky ticket holder has scooped a £8.5 million Lotto jackpot from May 25 – but they are yet to come forward and claim their prize.
The magic numbers to look out for this time are 30, 31, 37, 45, 49, 56.
Andy Carter, the senior winners’ adviser at The National Lottery, has hailed it as ‘amazing news’.
He said: ‘This is the second big win this month after one lucky ticket-holder banked the giant £8.6 million Lotto jackpot on 11 May.
‘Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call to claim this amazing prize.’
A further 23 players won £1,750 after picking five of the six numbers – but missed out on a £1 million cash prize without the bonus number: 51.
While money like this is enough to buy you a couple of islands in the Bahamas, or a fleet of 23 Rolls-Royce Phantoms, it isn’t quite as eye-watering as Joe and Jess Thwaite’s win.
They became the country’s biggest-ever EuroMillions winners with a stunning £184 million jackpot this month.
The couple’s first purchase was modest – new furniture for their bedroom – but they have now booked holidays to Hawaii and Texas.
The £8.5 million jackpot is also just 1.2% of Rishi Sunak’s £730 million net worth, as revealed by the Sunday Times Rich List this week.
