Kimberly Hart-Simpson has revealed her character Nicky Wheatley will return to Coronation Street following her exit.
Nicky returned to Weatherfield in March looking for Daniel (Rob Mallard), who was in a relationship with Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) at the time.
As a former sex-worker, Nicky transformed her life and worked as a teaching assistant at Weatherfield High School.
However, when Max (Paddy Bever) discovered Nicky’s former career, he began sharing images of her around the school, leading to the single mum being sacked from her job.
Daniel was able to help Nicky, offering her and Maisie a room at his flat.
Recently, Nicky was left feeling embarrassed when she told Daniel they could have a future together.
During Wednesday’s edition of the ITV soap, Daniel discovered Nicky packing her and Maisie’s things, revealing she was off to stay with a friend for a while.
This left many fans gutted to discover Nicky had left again, but Kimberly Hart-Simpson has confirmed she will be back.
Posting a behind-the-scenes picture of herself and Rob on Instagram, Kimberly captioned the image ‘It was a bit cramped anyway tbh’.
In the comments, one follower said: ‘I hope you’re still staying in Corrie’, with Kimberly responding and saying ‘You will see Nicky again’.
Metro.co.uk also understands Kimberly will return for one episode in July.
