Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service, and the parties will be in full swing.

What better way to honour the occasion than with a Royal knees up?

The Jubilee celebrations will commence over a four-day bank holiday, from 2-5 June and currently, more than 70,000 ‘Big Lunches’ and events are already planned across the country.

From street parties to home events and garden galas, there’s something for everyone.

It’s not just for adults though, with a few simple ideas it can turn into fun for all the family.

Whether you’re hosting a large or small gathering, we’ve rounded up the best kid’s party solutions that your little ones will absolutely love…

No need to find a theme for decorating your Jubilee party as the hard work has been done for you.

Whether you are holding your bash indoors or outdoors, anything British or Royal will work wonders for the occasion.

British bunting is always a crowd-pleaser and a classic union jack decoration never goes amiss. Or why not go regal with a Queen’s patriotic flag or even a Corgi banner

Whether you are holding your party indoors or outdoors, a tablecloth is an essential item. For spill-free ease with little ones around then, we recommend this wipeable union jack number, which comes in at a steal at £3.99.

Want a full-blown party set for dining? Then look no further than a recyclable bundle complete with napkins, paper plates and cups.

If you’re a bit of a show-off and want something extra fancy then why not add this fancy Jubilee two-tier cake stand for extra effect.

Dress Up

For children, just the idea of dressing up gets them all excited and can give lots of play opportunities throughout the day.

These fun kids Royal themed hats and glasses will give photo ops galore and adding a few patriotic stickers can also achieve a fun style (note: be prepared to find them stuck everywhere). What kid doesn’t love stickers?

Mixing red, blue and white outfits will keep with the colour theme and for extra flamboyance just add a selection of Platinum Jubilee balloons.

Flags are also great fun for your children to hold, play with, decorate or even showcase atop your Royal table. We love these savvy savers at just £9.99.

For great finger foods that kids can pick away at all day then it has to be a selection of sandwiches, sausage rolls, cheese on a stick, crisps, cupcakes, scones and classic Victoria sponge.

We know the Queen is the star of the show so this Majesty shaped biscuit cutter will definitely turn a few heads.

Kids love a themed cake and this June, Colin and Connie the Caterpillar have had a Royal makeover, appearing aptly regal complete with an edible cape.

Games and Activities

Want your kids thoroughly entertained all day? Then some classic interactive activities can give celebrations even more pizazz.

Colour a Corgi

The Official Platinum Jubilee Activity has just been released, Colour a Corgi, which your child can colour and add to the festivities. Get them to use crayons, paint and add sparkles and pom-poms as they see fit.

Tin Can Alley

Real tin cans, real bean bags; what’s not to love? This traditional tin can alley game helps with a child’s aim, promoting strength and accuracy while being super fun. Watch out, it will bring out your competitive streak.

Egg and Spoon Race

Certain things in life never go out of fashion, and the egg and spoon race is one of them. You can just use what you have at home but if you want an official set this pack of four allows you the entertainment of decorating your egg (Queen style, anyone?) and then racing to win.

Big Screens To Watch The Jubilee

Fancy a big screen and picnic set up? Then why not join the many people that will come together to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Screens will be set up outdoors in London, Edinburgh and Cardiff, and will be broadcasting the events in The Mall in London, Edinburgh’s Princes Street Gardens and in Cardiff’s Bute Park.

Events taking place in London will be broadcast on TV networks BBC, Sky and ITV. In a further move to mark the occasion, the BBC is offering local communities a special one-off TV Licence dispensation so they can screen it on a big screen they organise themselves.

Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries says, ‘In less than a month we will come together as a nation and Commonwealth to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s 70-year reign. No other British monarch has reached this milestone and we will celebrate it with tradition, pomp and circumstance.

I hope that people and communities across the country will come together to pay tribute to Her Majesty – whether to watch on big screens or toasting Her Majesty at a Big Jubilee Lunch with their neighbours or coming together in their local village hall.’
