Brenda Edwards has shared a message she received during a crystal reading session years ago about her late son Jamal Edwards.

The music entrepreneur and SBTV founder died suddenly on February 20 aged just 31 after a suspected heart attack.

He was instrumental in helping to launch the careers of stars including Ed Sheeran, Jessie J and rapper Dave, and received an MBE in 2014 for his work.

However, it seems Brenda was given some early insight into the impact her late son would have on the world.

Appearing on Tuesday’s episode of Loose Women with Coleen Nolan, Linda Robson and Carol McGiffin, the 53-year-old spoke of her past experience with a psychic in Brighton.

The stage performer, who has recently been announced as Gemma Collins’ replacement on the UK tour of Chicago described what she was told as ‘very on point’.

‘She did predict things that were going on in the future, such as, I didn’t think I was ill, but she did say something.

‘She tried to take it back, but that culminated in my cancer. I thought I was fine, but she obviously saw something,’ Brenda recalled.

Brenda then explained that the psychic read something about Jamal in the crystals too, far before she had been a member of the Loose Women panel.

‘She said something about Jamal, that you’ve got a son who is helping other young people and I was like, “Get downstairs, I want to hear the rest of it!”

Thank you so much for making me feel so welcome and comfortable to talk about Jamal, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you all, especially knowing how much Jamal loved you guys 💙💙

Brenda also gave an interview on the BBC Radio 1Extra Breakfast show, broadcast on Tuesday as well, on the impact and legacy of Jamal, where she fought tears as she spoke about the ‘array of emotions’ she and her daughter have gone through in the wake of Jamal’s unexpected death.

‘Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of grief in my life and I kind of now just, I just deal with it,’ she shared before pausing and wiping away tears as she said ‘sorry’.

The panellist also spoke about the ‘gaping hole’ that her son had left in both her life and that of the music industry as she shared her hopes that ‘there’s going to be somebody else out there that looks at Jamal and what he’s done and how he’s done it to be able to carry that on’.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
