Jessie J took a moment to thank Heartstopper actor Joe Locke after she spotted him in the crowd at her concert.

The Price Tag singer – real name Jessica Ellen Cornish – paused her gig to come to the front of the stage and commend the young actor on his powerful new Netflix series.

She insisted that before her performance got very ‘up tempo and intense’ she needed a serious moment to tell Joe how much she ‘appreciated’ him.

Jessie began: ‘I just have to say thank you, you won’t understand why, but you are a wonderful person and you’re helping someone really close to me get through a really tough time.’

While the musician didn’t go into any specific details, she added another heartfelt thanks: ‘Thank you, I appreciate you. Thank you for being here.’

The sweet exchange was recorded by a fan in the crowd and the video panned round to show Joe’s reaction. He beamed up at the artist, before he blew her a kiss and made a love heart with his hands.
