If there’s one person plenty of us dream of going to prom with, it’s Harry Styles. Alas, it’s unlikely we’d even get the chance to ask.
However, that wasn’t the case for one lucky fan, who not only got to invite the Watermelon Sugar singer to her prom, but he actually accepted!
Harry made Anna Carty’s day when he left her a voice message, saying he’d ‘love’ to be there.
The schoolgirl had the most relatable reaction, as she broke down in tears and became speechless after her favourite star spoke to her directly.
Speaking on the Getting Home Scotland show on Capital Scotland, Anna confessed to presenter Katy J that it’s ‘Harry Styles or nothing’ after asking for the station’s help in finding a date.
‘You’re going to be gorgeous, the only thing missing is the prom date, right?’, Katy began.

‘Yes, totally!’, Anna responded, with Katy joking: ‘So, now you really are aiming high here, you sent us a message, didn’t you?’
‘No one else will do, Harry Styles or nothing!’, Anna added.
Katy continued: ‘You know what, your argument is fair, like he’s going to be in Scotland anyway, so he may as well pop in to prom,’ referring to Harry’s concert at Ibrox Stadium the weekend after Anna’s big event.
The host then surprised Anna with a message from the former One Direction star and it was as precious as you can imagine.
A recording of the 28-year-old Grammy winner’s voice began: ‘Anna, how’s it going it’s Harry Styles here – hello! Look, Katy J passed on your invite to the prom and I’m sure it’ll be a good Scottish party.’

Harry continued: ‘I would love to be there, so just send me the details and I’ll see what I can do. So, I’ll see you soon!’
Anna burst into tears live on air after receiving the message from her celebrity idol, with Katy J concluding: ‘You heard it from the horse’s mouth, I have a feeling that he might rock up at prom!’
It would be amazing if Harry did manage to squeeze Anna’s prom into his schedule, since he’s well and truly booked and busy at the moment.
Harry has two movies hitting cinemas this year, including Don’t Worry Darling which also stars Florence Pugh (Picture: Warner Bros Pictures)
The As It Was hitmaker has been celebrating the release of his third studio album, Harry’s House, which debuted at number one in the charts and he’s made history by reigning supreme at the top of the singles chart for nine weeks.
He’ll head out on tour this month, playing to crowds across the UK and Europe after the Covid pandemic forced him to postpone back in 2019.
There’s nothing we love more than seeing Harry back on stage, in his natural habitat, and he’s been bringing the party to festivals across the globe over recent weeks, from hitting Coachella with Shania Twain and Lizzo, to setting Radio 1’s Big Weekend alive in a sparkly purple jumpsuit.
And if Harry’s diary wasn’t packed enough, he has two films coming out this year – Don’t Worry Darling (directed by girlfriend Olivia Wilde) and My Policeman, an LGBTQ+ drama that he’s already been tipped for an Oscar for.
