Kéllé joined Kaye Adams, Jane Moore and Sunetra Sarker on the latest instalment of the lunchtime programme, and decided to make an exclusive announcement.
The 47-year-old said: ‘Urgh gosh this is really weird, this is a secret that I’ve been keeping for so long so actually saying it out loud feels really weird.
‘So, tonight on Hollyoaks will be my very last scene. So, exclusively for Loose Women, I’m departing the show after four years of playing the same character, I’m off!
Kéllé has portrayed Martine Deveraux since October 2018, with the character having recently been given the all-clear for breast cancer after undergoing a mastectomy.
She went on to add: ‘Fans will be able to see what happens to Martine and all the dynamics between myself and Richard Blackwood, who plays my husband.’

A clip was played out from her final scenes, which clearly left her emotional, as she told viewers: ‘That’s made me a little bit upset!’
The actress shared just how attached she had become to her character, and announced she would make an effort to step away emotionally too.

‘Martine’s been a part of my life for so long, I’m going to have to de-rig her now – this hairstyle is Martine…
‘I used to put a little piece of velcro in my bra because she had breast cancer. I used to carry a bit in there just to have that sense of discomfort.
‘So taking that out, changing the hair… she’s been part of me for such a long time, it’s going to be odd putting her down,’ she added.
The former member of girl group Eternal moved her life up to Liverpool when she bagged the role in the soap.
But she confirmed she would be remaining in the city despite her exit, adding: ‘I love the city so much that I’m staying there!’
Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.
