A British pensioner has gone missing while on holiday in the north of Spain.

Roy Davies Clarke, 78, was visiting the country with a friend when he disappeared on May 30.

They were heading toward Yesa – near Pamplona – when they got separated, with Mr Clarke failing to arrive at his hotel.

The pensioner, from Heath, is described as being around 5’10, of slim build and with a round stomach.

He is also described as bald with grey hair on the sides, and is usually clean shaven. He wears a gold ring on his pinky finger, and a Tissot wrist-watch.

South Wales Police has issued an appeal for any information of his whereabouts, in the hopes he may have made contact with somebody in the country.

A spokeswoman said: ‘We are very concerned for Roy’s well being and want to hear from anyone who may have seen him or may know where he may be.”

‘Anyone with information should contact police on 101.’
