Linda is involved in a car accident (Picture: BBC)
The landlady of the Queen Vic is reeling in the wake of having found that Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) conned Nancy (Maddy Hill) and Zack Hudson (James Farrar) out of their money to buy a space for their restaurant.
Nancy, meanwhile, is all set to depart for Watford with Linda, but she’s left feeling apprehensive when Zack lets slip that Linda was actually intending to leave the Square several weeks ago.
Despite her concerns, she sets off with her mum.
Janine, meanwhile, is panicked, after Sharon winds her up, telling her that Linda will imminently spill the beans to Nancy.

On the road, Nancy is unable to keep quiet, and thus she questions her mum about why she was going to leave. Linda isn’t given a chance to explain herself, as Nancy storms back to the Square, leaving her on her own.
Deflated, the matriarch turns to alcohol.
Janine, meanwhile is on tenterhooks when Nancy rocks up in the Square, but she soon realises she doesn’t know anything.
The schemer intercepts a call that Linda makes to Mick (Danny Dyer), determined to stop her speaking to her husband. Knowing where her love rival is, she sets off in a cab.
Linda is less than pleased to see Janine. Janine, however, manages to get the car working, and sets about driving drunk Linda and Annie home, but tragedy strikes, as Janine loses control of the car, and a crash ensues.
Janine wakes up and realises the severity of Linda’s injuries. In twisted scenes, she shows her true colours.
The Carters, meanwhile, receive a call from the hospital, informing them that Linda has been in a devastating accident, she’s in critical condition and it’s possible that she will die.
Is this really the end for Linda? Will she die?
