Kirsty Young is leading the coverage of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend following a long absence from our screens due to illness.

The Scottish TV presenter, who has been active since the 1990s, has been at the helm of flagship programs from the BBC, Channel 5 and Radio 4.

Kirsty is one of the most recognisable presenters and voices in the UK, particularly through her work on Crimewatch and the beloved series Desert Island Discs.

The presenter has been absent for a number of years, stepping back from Desert Island Discs to receive treatment for a form of fibromyalgia in 2018.

Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes pain all over the body. Those who suffer from the chronic illness have widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues.

Kirsty has now been welcomed back to the screen with open arms, as Brits delight in seeing her presenting after a long break away, and fans are curious about her family: so, who is her husband and do they have any children?

He is the founder and chief executive of Soho House, luxury private members clubs that can be found in major spots including New York and London.

Nick also owns the Babington House hotel and health club, a grade II listed building which also acts as a private members club, based in Somerset.

The couple were married in a ceremony at Babington House in September 1999, as they had met at the club for the very first time a year previously.
