France boss Didier Deschamps hailed Manchester United star Christian Eriksen following his side’s defeat to Denmark and said the playmaker has ‘above average technical quality’.
Denmark beat the World Cup holders 2-0 in a Nations League clash as Deschamps’ side finished third in Group A.
Eriksen has made an astonishing comeback from the cardiac arrest he suffered at Euro2021 and he’s started in all six of Manchester United’s Premier League matches this term.
The Dane started in both of his country’s Nations League matches this week and he was instrumental as they saw off France, with the midfielder creating eight chances in the 2-0 win.
Deschamps was effusive in his praise for Eriksen before the match, describing his ‘surprise’ at the midfielder’s consistency after recovering from the cardiac arrest.
But he was just as won over by Eriksen’s play after the defeat, with Deschamps full of praise for Eriksen’s creativity and technique.

‘He has above average technical quality, an impressive volume of play,’ said Deschamps.
‘For Denmark, it’s a plus to have such a player. He is a technical and creative leader for this team.’
Eriksen is yet to open his account for United but he was named the side’s player of the month for September.
The Dane was instrumental in a 3-1 win against Arsenal and provided an assist for Marcus Rashford to round off the win, when he could have easily scored himself.
